Members Kowalski Posted November 24, 2005 Members Posted November 24, 2005 Anybody else have one? I bought it last Christmas for my dad and becaue it was the best acoustic I had ever played in the 10 years I've been playing -- well, ironically enough I ended up with it after he got frustrated playing it. The only other acoustic I have played that gets me close to the sound, feel, etc... that I'm after was a 1940s martin that GC had for like $7000 or something. I've played several of these and they all played very well...so it's not just mine either I guess. Anyway -- does anybody else have one of these? Do you like it? I know it has synthetic parts, blah, blah, blah -- but I love it and use it as my main songwriting guitar. Best $500 I ever spent.

Great guitar -- but I think they discontinued my model.

Irreplaceable guitar. I would'nt trade it for a Collings. Hey, I don't go by Hernando any more, got a different job. I quit right before Katrina hit...

Makes a good argument for the efects of back and sides on tone. I like the 000X1.

Or not much effect by B/S material? I confess that I have never really given those "non-wood" gits a fair shake, sounds like I've cheated myself. Guess its never too late to learn.

Members t60 fan Posted November 24, 2005 Members Posted November 24, 2005 I shall quote you when I approach she-whom-must-be-obeyed about the subject.
Members Cortfan Posted November 26, 2005 Members Posted November 26, 2005 Yeah, JT I'll probably keep my 000-1 for a long time, since a. my wife gave it to me for a birthday present, and b. it gets the job done. The longer I keep it, the more it opens up. Definitely a difference in sound with each passing year. How does yours sound after the neck reset?
