Members peavey_impact Posted November 18, 2005 Members Posted November 18, 2005 Hey guys, first time posting here. I have had this guitar for a few years now. The sticker in the soundhole says: Celebrity CC148. However, this guitar looks completely different than any CC148 I've ever seen. I've googled it several times and all the guitars I find look totally different than mine. My guitar has an almost native american thing going on. Single soundhole with inlaid rosewood triangles on the rosette. The fret board also has combination maple/mahogany triangles inlaid on the fret board. It is a medium bowl cutaway guitar with gold hardware. Has anyone ever seen one of these? I am dying to know its origin. I will try to take some pics of it soon.
Members KATMAN Posted November 19, 2005 Members Posted November 19, 2005 I don't think it's rare,it might be a homemade custom job. You might take to a Ovation Dealer who can tell you more.
Members rmatlak Posted December 10, 2005 Members Posted December 10, 2005 I also have a cc148, and sounds like it has that same look. Kinda native american, interesting wood inlays around the sound hole. Is a mid-bowl, and I'm having trouble finding out it's worth. I bought it ~5 years ago from small music store, and since then have had major artthritus issues keeping me only being able to seriously pay my electric because of fretting strength. Anyhow, is an original; not custom.
