Members Stophe88 Posted December 13, 2005 Author Members Posted December 13, 2005 it's a yamaha classical style guitar, and i don't play it much and i've never restrung it in my lifebut idk what i should put on it
Members riffmeister Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 D'Addario ProArte are a good sounding string. I'd use normal or high tensions on the Yamaha classical. I also really like Savarez Corum Alliance high tension strings....a bit brighter and 'clearer' sounding than the D'Addarios. I usually get strings here: www.stringsbymail.com
Members ss454 Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 I'm curious about this too thanks to some random prick at GC telling me that Tacoma puts Elixer's on their guitars! I was waiting on my EKK19C to come in so I bought several sets of Elixers...I put a set on my guitar when it came in and INSTANTLY knew those were not the right one's. I couldn't even fret chords because of the tension. I took a set back and traded for a XL set and it was better but still had far too much string tension for my liking...I've been playing it like this for a while and want that sweet tone and easy playing back! I've been looking into the EXP strings from D'ad because that's what I think was on there originally. Any help? I love this guitar and it still sounds better than most with these HORRIBLE strings on it.
