Members ariaman Posted December 23, 2005 Members Posted December 23, 2005 Hi, I've got a problem with my Takamine electro -Acoustic, get a terrible earth buzz when I connect it to my hard disc recorder, through an amp it's not too bad, the buzz disappears when I touch the jack so it's an earth fault of sorts but no-one locally seems to want to tackle it, anyone hadthe same problem? thanks in anticipation!!
Members bjorn-fjord Posted December 23, 2005 Members Posted December 23, 2005 This is probably of no help but I had a similar problem with a Fender Strat. It had grounding problems from the day I bought it. I took it to every so called electronics wizard in town and nobody could fix it. I shielded everything with metal film. No help. Finally I re-wired the entire guitar only to find that the problem persisted. Out of desperation I reversed the wires to the input jack and, lo and behold, the buzz disappeared.
Members ariaman Posted December 24, 2005 Author Members Posted December 24, 2005 Thanks for the reply, I had that same problem, a Squire stat back in the 80's, but the strange thing out this is that the damned thing worked fine for months!I know that a low battery can cause the same problem but that was the first thing I tried, Thanks again for your interest!!
