Members onehourburn Posted December 31, 2005 Members Posted December 31, 2005 I can turn the neck adjuster all the way clockwise untill it does not turn anymore or counter clockwise until the metal nut falls out and it does not effect the the neck what so ever... I just got it yesterday... Should I take it back??? It seems to me the adjustment for the neck is broke since it does nothing to help the bow... It does nothing at all. onehourburn

Members kwakatak Posted December 31, 2005 Members Posted December 31, 2005 You may have overdone it. I have never personally dared to adjust my truss rod but from what I understand you should adjust it in small increments like a quarter turn at a time. I believe it may also take time for the wood of the neck to adjust but again, I'm not experienced in this area. I'd suggest that you read this article from frets.com: http://www.frets.com/FRETSPages/Musician/GenSetup/TrussRods/TrussRodAdj/tradj.html
Members onehourburn Posted January 2, 2006 Author Members Posted January 2, 2006 I adjust and set up all my guitars which are all electrics... This is my first acoustic... I got a cheap one cause I hardly ever play the acoustic. I am mainly a metal head. I turned it in very small steps and would wait a while... There is no movement what so every... Its like the trust rod is not turning... I own or have owned a gibson Lp, Schecter blackjack, ibanez RG's, Jackson's, fenders... I am no newbie and I know how to set up a guitar... I have never heard of a trust rod not working... ITs strange!!! onehourburn
