Members lalatingstrings Posted January 15, 2006 Members Posted January 15, 2006 i use d'addario pro arte's and i love em.they sound beautiful on my yairi,so im sure they will work on your taylor.i use xtra hard tension cause i do slack key tunings.maby for standard you'd want a lighter tension.
Members nylon rock Posted January 15, 2006 Members Posted January 15, 2006 I like the La Bella 900 Golden Superiors. The bass strings are polished, thereby reducing string squeak. You can even get a set with four wound strings instead of three. The treble strings are orange/golden in color and this looks kind of cool. You could mix and match sets from La Bella, for a different appearance and sound. They offer black, red, and golden trebles. The only thing I don't like about these strings, and this is a minor point, is that only the bass E string has some "winds" relief where you tie it at the bridge. I've heard of people using the extremely high tension strings, which La Bella offers too, but I have never tried these.
