Members guitarcapo Posted January 23, 2006 Members Posted January 23, 2006 I was in church last Sunday with this lady who had a mid-seventies 12 string D-18. SHe said that when it needed new frets which had worn out and an action adjustment it only cost here the shipping to Martin. They did it all under warrantee for free. I guess they value it highly if you are an original owner. Mid seventies Martins are probably the best deals around in the used market because of some rumor that workmanship was spotty at that time. They had a worker's strike back then...but I've seen lots of great sounding examples. Same holds true for Gibsons.
