Is it just me or are dark colored acoustics...

The only example of such a finish that comes to my mind are the Martin all-mahogany 15s. It wasn't until I laid eyes on a Larrivee 03 that I saw that mahogany is actually honey-brown in color. After that my opinion of the dark finish on mahogany became less favorable. Besides, the "natural" dark color of rosewood - not to mention the tonal qualities - is so much more appealing to me.

Tasmanian Blackwood. It's related to Koa, just a little darker. A little deeper tone IMO. If you know how Koa sounds somewhere between rosewood and mahogany, BW is more towards RW to me.
