Members Guitar Centaur Posted February 7, 2006 Members Posted February 7, 2006 Whatever I get, it needs to be thin, and still do acoustic convincingly while I strut about. Anyone here have experience with the Godin Acousticaster? I found one that looks like the sister to my Godin Artisan TC SuperTele electric (which is my #1 guitar). The neck on my guitar is phenomenal, and the one oin this Acousticaster looks almost identical! If it sounds as good as it looks, I'll be set!
Members Highway_61 Posted February 7, 2006 Members Posted February 7, 2006 The Godin Acousticaster has been rebranded. It is now called a Seagull A6 (I'm pretty sure).
Members Thumbpicker Posted February 11, 2006 Members Posted February 11, 2006 Godin makes a nice Acoustic electric steel string line. Sounds pretty decent but the ones with a semi-hollow body seem to have a better acoustic sound quality. I have both and the hollow one beats the solid body plugged in or not.The downside is that it will feedback whereas the solid one doesn't. I think they have 2 pickup options as well with an internal transducer to work with the undersaddle. The feedback isn't bad but it will feedback. I love the neck as well. The controls took some time to keep straight with just the slders and no labels to them but that's just a matter of getting used to them.
