Members Themetallikid Posted February 16, 2006 Members Posted February 16, 2006 I have been using a direct box the past couple of shows, and its been working well. But I have a Fender Cyber Twin that I think I could use as an expensive direct box basically. The only problem I have with the direct box is no chorus, delay effects...I assume that by going into the cyber twin and going direct out, I'd get the same level or so of going direct? The Cyber Twins direct outs have a speaker sim built in...and its not a tube amp so I dont have to worry about a 'load' or anything. Does this seeem worth trying?
Members jackwr Posted February 16, 2006 Members Posted February 16, 2006 Strange question for the acoustic forum.
Members Themetallikid Posted February 16, 2006 Author Members Posted February 16, 2006 well it involves me and playing my acoustic, and i figured that some of you must play though a direct box or through an amp of some sorts...I can post in the other forum, but thought this would be a good place to start.
Members jackwr Posted February 16, 2006 Members Posted February 16, 2006 Sorry I'm no help, on the rare occasion I can't be heard, I just mic. Well recording too. The old amp(teenage years) sitting in my "utility" room looks out of place with all the acoustics around it. My Telecoustic is the only thing I currently have that will plug in.
