Members Gretsch Fan Posted March 3, 2006 Members Posted March 3, 2006 What is the Martin authorized location for the second added strap knob? I really do not like tying off on the head stock and need to put one on and do not want to void the warranty by putting in the wrong place.

Members jackwr Posted March 3, 2006 Members Posted March 3, 2006 The first pic in the previous post is where my authorized Martin dealer located mine. Drilled a small pilot hole first and put a felt washer under the metal button.

It's a lot easier with two people. I place em in the neck heal, yet still allow me to get the best access to the upper frets. Hold guitar where you want itTake the pin and have a friend put it where you think you like itmark it with a pencildo the piolt hole thing, like mentioned above.

Members Gretsch Fan Posted March 4, 2006 Author Members Posted March 4, 2006 Thanks. The two-man system worked better than trying to balance the guitar and drill.
Members DonK Posted March 4, 2006 Members Posted March 4, 2006 Make sure you have it done at an authorized Martin dealer/repair facility so that you don't void your warranty.,
