Members Rada Posted March 6, 2006 Members Posted March 6, 2006 Does anyone know what guitar(s) Jack Johnson uses?
Members Gretsch Fan Posted March 7, 2006 Members Posted March 7, 2006 I know he has at least one Martin though I didn't look closely so not sure which model. His music was great in the "Curious George" movie. That was one of my favorite books as a kid and his music matched both my memories and IMO the movie.
Members studyscoot Posted March 7, 2006 Members Posted March 7, 2006 he uses a Cole Clark guitar, as well as Maton and Tak. On his 'In Between Dreams' album, it was primarely Maton for recording. He used a Martin (a HPL model if I remember right) for some of the Curious George stuff, then auctioned it off. He also uses an older Taylor 814 on tour. He used a Guild back in the early days of Brushfire Fairytales. He's basically been all over the board as far as guitars. He has stated many times that he doesn't really care about his equipment as long as he can get the sound he needs. All of his guitars were given to him. The Guild was by a friend, and I believe the rest were from the companies for publicity.
Members Stophe88 Posted March 7, 2006 Members Posted March 7, 2006 i've been curious about this for a while now i got a dvd of his for xmas, and his playing style and the volume he gets from it is crazy.. i assumed it was his guitars
Members runningshoes Posted March 7, 2006 Members Posted March 7, 2006 On the Greek Theatre DVD, he uses a Cole Clark Fat Lady 2. There is also a fat lady 1 on the japan footage, and the Maton he uses when playing with Matt Costa appears to be a 808 of some sort.
