Members octa Posted March 6, 2006 Author Members Posted March 6, 2006 I forgot this was a slow section of HC, so I'm off to bed instead of hitting the refresh button for the 56th time
Members Highway_61 Posted March 6, 2006 Members Posted March 6, 2006 Have you tried UTGF at AIMOO forums (The Unofficial Tacoma Guitar Forum)? I have read some discussions, there, about the baritone.
Members DonK Posted March 6, 2006 Members Posted March 6, 2006 Can't speak to the models you list, but my 1997 DR-20 is one of the best guitars I've ever owned. I bought it new back in 1997 for a pittance compared to what I've paid for the various Taylors and Martins I've owned over the years since then.
Members octa Posted March 6, 2006 Author Members Posted March 6, 2006 Cheers for that DonK. Highway, yes, I have checked out the Tacoma forum, learned some stuff and thought what you guys would say about them too
Members EvilTwin Posted March 7, 2006 Members Posted March 7, 2006 I have a DM-18 that is the best all-around dread I've ever played. I've played some Chiefs from the "Wing" series that I really wish I had now. I saw one used for $250 about two months ago, but I wasn't quick enough. Great guitar, though.
Members t60 fan Posted March 7, 2006 Members Posted March 7, 2006 My friend Ed has a EKK19 all Koa minijumbo. Beautiful to look at, hear and play. Pre-F.
Members Johneecatt Posted March 7, 2006 Members Posted March 7, 2006 I have a friend that is one of their sponsored artists and gets them free, so I have tried a few. And all the ones I have played are very nice. I'm not sure what models they were, but they were very well made and sounded really nice.
