Members Etienne Rambert Posted March 12, 2006 Members Posted March 12, 2006 "Somewhere in Saigon" This is a rough mix on a song. There will be a different vocalist, a background string arrangement, piano, a lead fingerpicking guitar from my playing partner of 25 years, and a dan bau solo. I'm going to sample some Saigon street noise for the song too. But if anyone wants to hear my Maple Dragon, mic'd. Here it is. It's capo'd at the 5th fret for this song. So the deepest note you're going to hear is the "A" on the 6th string. I never record with new strings. In Saigon, even new strings are crap. But this sounds pretty damned good to my ears with crap strings. You're hearing the guitar - not phosphor bronze strings here.
