Taylor Retrofit ES system

Well hello out there. anyone ave a taylor es retrofitted on their

guitar? any thoughts or comments would be gladly appreciated

I'm no fan of retrofitting on good guitars like Taylors. It doesn't matter too much on a cheapo import, but your guitar's value will drop like a stone if you change it from stock to non-stock.

Are you asking about replacing an early trouble prone ES with one of the new ones? That is discussed a lot over at the Acoustic Guitar Forum and should be covered under warranty. Taylor also has a kit to replace a fishman with the ES. Here is a thread about doing that

A lot more people are trying to replace the ES system with a P/U system that works right.

if your guitar didn't come with an ES, i wouldn't even consider it...

you can send a taylor to them to have them put it in, but i think it costs close to 5 bills. thats pretty ridiculous.

Don't do it - buy new if you want ES.
