Members newlife15 Posted March 14, 2006 Members Posted March 14, 2006 Well hello out there. anyone ave a taylor es retrofitted on their guitar? any thoughts or comments would be gladly appreciated
Members Queequeg Posted March 14, 2006 Members Posted March 14, 2006 I'm no fan of retrofitting on good guitars like Taylors. It doesn't matter too much on a cheapo import, but your guitar's value will drop like a stone if you change it from stock to non-stock.
Members t60 fan Posted March 14, 2006 Members Posted March 14, 2006 If you want an ES, get a new guitar.

That is discussed a lot over at the Acoustic Guitar Forum and should be covered under warranty. Taylor also has a kit to replace a fishman with the ES. Here is a thread about doing thatReplace Fishman with ES
Members Terry Allan Hall Posted March 15, 2006 Members Posted March 15, 2006 A lot more people are trying to replace the ES system with a P/U system that works right.
Members Cldplytkmn Posted March 15, 2006 Members Posted March 15, 2006 if your guitar didn't come with an ES, i wouldn't even consider it... you can send a taylor to them to have them put it in, but i think it costs close to 5 bills. thats pretty ridiculous.
Members t60 fan Posted March 15, 2006 Members Posted March 15, 2006 Don't do it - buy new if you want ES.
