Dating an Alvarez.

I have a classical Regent Model 4103. Dont really know where to start, not having luck on google.

Like, what do you want to know? Regent is their bottom of the line series, but these guitars are often the best

There was a couple reviews I noticed in HC. One guy said his was 70 something.

 

I do know the Regent is a cheapo brand. I picked it up at a pawn shop for 40 bucks. Needs a new g string t uner but sounds decent. Just says Regent Model 4103 Made in Japan.

 

If this helps I was looking inside to find any markings and found a stamp on the neck inside the soundhole. It says 47 513

Thanks a ton. Yep, appears to be a 72 alright, I'm pretty confident on that now.

 

I cant believe I didnt see that. That was the first website I looked at. Saw a bunch of technical explanations about guitar features and went lookin elsewhere. They sort of snuck in the dating code on that page.
