I got this guitar (model jta49e) yesterday and for $72 plus shipping (used) is was a great deal. Sure it doesn't come close to the gibson j160's ive played but does have a full yet dark mellow tone unplugged. Its not a loud guitar.

 

Plugged in it can get very bright although with carefull ajustment of the tone knob and amp's eq you can dial in some useable tones that might mix well with a miced tone for recording and or live.

 

Overall it does still some of that kinda cheap guitar sound thats far from the heavenly tones of $2000+ taylor, martins, gibsons. I will probably upgrade the nut and bridge saddle to bone (has plastic now) and possibly better bridge pins.
