Recent victories thread

Okay, this is a happy moment.

I fixed the washing machine. I tried this a few weeks back and nothing worked right then (got it working though), but today the thing just fell apart again. I popped open the front cover, the motor was (this time) easy to remove, I super-glued the bottom pulley back together, and it was running again in 30 minutes. The squeak and rattle are gone. And it looks like this time they'll stay gone!

Packing up my stuff and moving 2200 miles all by myself to start a new life. The real victory for me was getting up enough guts to leave a place and people that needed leaving.

Recent Victory? Getting my entire family to buy into our "new family budget." The one that will ensure that we can eat AND pay our bills.

Those are always fun, just bought into one of those myself. My accomplishment is being able to stay in school on one of these.

Hmmm, best I've got is finding a mint, original copy of the "In the Court of the Crimson King" album by King Crimson in the $2 bin. It was opened but still had the cellophane on it.

I'll give a almost recent victory which is the same as someone above. Moving out of the little town I'm in and just start my life over somewhere else.

Well, this week I bought a Hammond M2 for 200$, and then proceeded to get the previously non-functioning percussion working.

 

Of course, I made my wife cry by filing the divorce papers today, so I suppose that is kind of a wash...
