Members riffmeister Posted May 2, 2006 Members Posted May 2, 2006 and going electric. It's where the fun is at.
Members Sweb Posted May 2, 2006 Members Posted May 2, 2006 No you won't. No one who plays an acoustic can simply turn a cold heart to it and walk away. That's like trying to eat just one potato chip. Great sculpture - let's see now: "Biloxi Boys Rape Our Young Girls But Virginia Gave Willingly" - still remember that.
Members Queequeg Posted May 2, 2006 Members Posted May 2, 2006 You will need a permit.(Now, to get a permit you need a note from your doctor saying that you have completely lost your mind, of course.)
Members Burningleaves Posted May 2, 2006 Members Posted May 2, 2006 Play both!! Later add Bass guitar. Then you will really having some fun.
Members riffmeister Posted May 2, 2006 Author Members Posted May 2, 2006 I was at the Evil Acoustic Guitar Store That Relieves Me Of Large Chunks Of My Savings Account today. Here's what impressed me: Lowden O (Cedar/EIR) Goodall Concert Jumbo (Sitka/Zircote) Santa Cruz OM (Adirondack/Brazilian) Okay, I like acoustic guitars again. P.S. Oh yeah, and a Taylor Jumbo 12-string (Sitka/EIR). I'm GASing for a 12-string right now..... .

The sound was warm and full and sooooooo sumptuous! It was a used guitar......10 yrs old, and $10K! Cosmetics were not my thang.....dark sunburst and abalone trim all around. So I just closed my eyes and played on..... Hey.....my Soldano goes to eleven!
Members Beachbum Posted May 4, 2006 Members Posted May 4, 2006 I'm 'gassing' for a 12 string myself. I'm leaning toward the Takamine EG523-12 with a built in tuner. (12 string players spend half their time tuning and the other half playing out of tune.)
