My local shop (Fireside Music in Memphis) is a Breedlove dealer and (as I have mentioned in an earlier thread) brings in some amazing guitars. Rob, one of the guys there has a real knack for tone and beauty. He designed a custom Breedlove for a friend of mine. Well, now I am told that he has designed an amazing guitar that is going to be even nicer than my friends and it is not sold yet. He just designed it for store stock. The guitar is a one of a kind with Myrtlewood back and sides, flamed maple neck so it is all blonde. It has the wing inlay and purfling, ebony bridge and fingerboard and other features I cannot even remember, It is supposed to be in the store on Wednesday and I am drooling already. My problem is I do not have the $$$, right now. This thing is calling my name and if it plays as great as I imagine it looks, I am going to have to get a second job or something! Isn't that always how it is. If you have the $$$, it is hard to find something truly great to spend it on. When you don't, the perfect thing almost jumps out of the case! I will keep everyone posted on my plight. Who knows I might liquidate everything on ebay to come up with the funds.

The neck is the smoothest playing neck I have ever felt. One of the guys at the shop told me they had it on their ebay site. Now I can dream at home as well as at their store. I have to figure out how in the world to get this before it gets snatched up by somebody else. They told me they had ordered it back in the fall and I know they have been talking it up to anyone that appreciates this kind of instrument. Here is the link, so more of us can drool.
