Members hondro Posted May 8, 2006 Members Posted May 8, 2006 I have a Martin acoustic I'd like to be able to clamp the capo to the headstock, but I'm afraid that it might rub off the logo will it? or am I safe?
Members speed_12 Posted May 8, 2006 Members Posted May 8, 2006 As long as you prpoerly unclamp it when you take it off rather than rubbing it over the logo, i cant see it being any problem. Just dont leave it on there if its quite warm, I had the rubber from my capo melt onto the headstock of my old yamaha acoustic which left a black mark which was rubbish (wasnt even THAT hot to do it either).
Members JasmineTea Posted May 8, 2006 Members Posted May 8, 2006 Yes it's bad for the logo, the finish, your image, everything. It would look about the same if you put it on your nose, also less damage to the guitar.
Members Chirpy_72 Posted May 8, 2006 Members Posted May 8, 2006 As a precaution I wouldn't soak your capo in any kind of solvent before clamping it to your headstock.
