Opinions needed on Elec. Acoustic

I'm looking for something with a nice warm even tone for around $500. I've played many, and 2 seem to stick out in my mind at this time:

 

1. Takamine EG544SC (solid Cedar top, koa sides n' back... purchased only from Guitar Center)

 

2. Alvarez PD80SC (solid Spruce top, solid mahogony back)

 

They're both the same price ($500). Which do you prefer? Are there any in this range that I should look into? I appreciate any feedback.

I have a different Takamine--can't remember the model--it's not a G series. It's a sunburst finish, about 5 years old I think. Bought used last year for $400...anyway, I love it. Build quality is excellent. Amplified sound is great, and I really like the preamp and controls. Unplugged it does not compare with my old Hummingbird, but few new guitars would.

My Ibanez AEL50SERLV turns up early June, I'm really looking forward to it, the reviews are amazing and the guitar looks very tasty. It's also around this price range, give it a lookee see
