I have a Fender DG-11 that has a spruce top with 12's on it. What are some good strings to put on there? I was looking at GHS phospor bronze, are they any good?

Thanks.

Really, the best thing you can do is to start trying different brands and types out til you find something you like and stick with that. The GHS are a good place to start.:)

+1. Strings are gonna be a matter of personal preference, and what sounds and feels good to you may be anathema to someone else. Just look at many people hate Elixirs, while others love 'em. Personally, I experiment with different strings until I find what sounds and feels good to me on a particular one. I use a number of different brands and sets depending on the guitar. Have fun experimenting.

I put my first set of Martin SP phospor bronze .012 - .054's on my Larrivee L-03 a few days ago.

I really like them. The sound great.

Yup, that's what I got on my OM-03R right now. They've just about settled down from their original squeakiness and sound much better than they used to on my Takamine. Next time I'm getting the Fingerstyle version though; juststrings.com seems to have messed up my order.

good words of wisdom from these guys.

I use Elixirs on my 12 string, and have Martins SP Phosper on my 6 string (they sound good).

spend some money & try different brands & sizes - see what sounds good to your ear.
