Members kwakatak Posted May 20, 2006 Members Posted May 20, 2006 uhhhhh....! Didn't you guys ever try to play some Malmsteen songs? I'm not talking the shredding crap like "Black Star" which is endless wanking against 3 chords but the later stuff where he hired the singer who replaced Ronnie James Dio in Rainbow? That's when Yuengling was trying to sound more like Ritchie Blackmore than Paganini. I used to woodshed on several songs from his "Odyssey", "Eclipse" and "Fire and Ice" albums. Not for the wanking-aspect though, but for the chord changes and song structures. OT - speaking of beer, I'm in mourning. I just found out that Anheiser Busch just bought the Rolling Rock brand name but not the factory in Latrobe, PA. I almost have some good memories of getting {censored}-faced on that stuff! As for Budweiser, all I have are memories of the {censored}s.

As for Budweiser, all I have are memories of the {censored}s. Of course. I bought books on scales and a metronome to be the next Ying Yang. I loved Rising Force & Marching Out. He made me practice more than any other guitar player in my 22 years of playing. That was until I discovered George Lynch. George taught me that you can play cool bluesy riffs and fast runs. George was influenced by Eddie VanHalen (my favorite rock guitar player) and Randy Rhodes. I also liked the Scorpions a lot too back then. I bought my first acoustic after I heard "Big City Nights". Here's 2 quick acoustic tracks from the '80's and a 1 from the early '90's: Dokken's "In My Dreams" - The Scorpions "Big City Nights" and Van Halen "316" (in my signature - this tune is from the 1991 Unlawful Carnal Knowledge CD). I recorded them back to back to back just now. They're rough but the inspiration hit.... In My Dreams - Dokken Big City Nights - The Scorpions
