Members d03nut Posted May 31, 2006 Members Posted May 31, 2006 Woohoo..... I have added another guitar to my collection (yes, finally I'm involved in a "3-some"). Paid $2.25 for the stringless piece of crap -am I in breach of forum rules about discussing prices- with the full intention of using it for decorative purposes. I was thinking a couple of things, for instance maybe I can use it as a vase, you know put some soil in it, or maybe I can use it as a trap....... Anyway, I would welcome all suggestions from esteemed members especially those with a background in "interior design". Oh by the way, because we're dealing with an acoustic this is strictly an ON-T thread.......

You can talk price here. Put your Twinkies in it.
Members Freeman Keller Posted May 31, 2006 Members Posted May 31, 2006 At the end of the Martin factory tour movie they show the 1833 shop selling reject guitars that were sawn in half to make flower planters. I've got the saw
Members Michael Martin Posted May 31, 2006 Members Posted May 31, 2006 Mount it on a tree as a birdhouse. Maybe add a Dove or Hummingbird pickguard so they get the idea...
Members thatsbunk Posted May 31, 2006 Members Posted May 31, 2006 I like your planter idea. You can use the neck as a trellis.
Members Old_Joe_Clark Posted May 31, 2006 Members Posted May 31, 2006 Maybe this will fan your interest in old guitars. It's a low overhead approach to interior decorating.
Members d03nut Posted June 1, 2006 Author Members Posted June 1, 2006 Thatsbunk, I'm afraid that's like $2.25 times a whole bunch= I can't afford..............
Members F-holes Posted June 1, 2006 Members Posted June 1, 2006 I've always wanted to mount a clock into an acoustic.
