Members hrhodes3 Posted June 8, 2006 Members Posted June 8, 2006 Ive owned numerous Martins, Taylors, Blah Blah. Oh yeah--could someone recommend me a "How to play Acoustic-Scientific Method Book"? WTF?! You'll be posting on this board before the nights over, either with your name or a new screen name Ok, I could not help but respond to this. I made explanations about why I wanted to practice and how I got my opinions with guitars . I don't get the WTF statement. You are obviously uneducated or on drugs yourself. You probably stole you guitars because your too stupid to buy one.
Members fingerpicker Posted June 8, 2006 Members Posted June 8, 2006 Ok, I could not help but respond to this. Told you so:cool: You are obviously uneducated or on drugs yourself. You probably stole you guitars because your too stupid to buy one. :D Bachelors degree in Music Education. Taught private for a decade. Play 5-8 gigs a week 34 years old I have the receipts for all my music equipment, and guitars, and keep them on record for tax purposes. I bet you haven't even picked up your guitar for 30 minutes today. I've been in a {censored} mood all day and you are the icing on the cake. Oh, didn't you say you were leaving?
Members hrhodes3 Posted June 8, 2006 Author Members Posted June 8, 2006 I wish I was to the point I could teach music .. I respect that!

Not sure I understand the point of going out of your way to insult a guy who hasn't aimed a hostile word in your direction. English should be capitalized, btw.
Members gpjerry Posted June 8, 2006 Members Posted June 8, 2006 And just for the record English is not required for guitar.

It's based on the annoyingly naive yet loveable buffoon, much like Balki from "Perfect Strangers" or Andy Kaufman's character from Taxi. >>>

Here's my guess: This guy is a HC regular using an alias handle. His ID is 2 years old and he came on the forum last week with 42 posts. He either got banned or he is just having fun messing with people. Either way, I have trouble taking him seriously.
Members knockwood Posted June 9, 2006 Members Posted June 9, 2006 I can understand not taking certain posters - including me - seriously. Mean is another game entirely. Screw it. Not my fight.

Since when is flaming with a made-up character mean? It's all an act, much like professional wrestling. Just so you know, I'm not a mean person. But I do get quite annoyed when a forum that should be run on-topic gets flooded with nonsense.

Screw it. Not my fight. Come on Knock - you're a real poster. You make intelligent, yet highly amusing posts in English. They're pure genius. I understand what you are saying about being mean. Although, most of the time people bring it on themselves. This is the most civil forum on HC (by a long shot). I'm doing my best to be nice to Mr. d10s......I...must......try....harder........
Members hrhodes3 Posted June 9, 2006 Author Members Posted June 9, 2006 No nonsense I asked a freakn straight forward q about training material . I am not a made up person.

Yeah, but now you've got a mess of hrhodes3 threads on the board where this morning you only had 1. If you guys keep picking on him he's gonna post more. Who's the troll? If you don't like his posts, stay away from his threads and scroll past his posts. I scroll past plenty of DUMB{censored}S on this board without complaining, don't see why others can't do the same. Whether he's acting or not does'nt matter, he still has'nt done anything troll-like or made an insult to anyone. I suggest you all just leave him alone and he'll simmer down.

Members smokiee Posted June 9, 2006 Members Posted June 9, 2006 Well as long as everyone understands English, broken or not, thats fine. We're not taking an exam or anything where we'll be graded accordingly. Why look at our differences when we all have one thing in common... we all love and play guitars. That should be enough.
