Are there any mainstream dealers who sell larrivee guitars.... i live around toledo and we have a few music shops. I really want to try out the larrivee L-03E before i buy one.

From www.larrivee.com, here's the list of their official dealers in Ohio:

Also, since your close to Michigan here's that listing as well:

Don't be surprised if even a "dealer" has only 2-5 guitars on the wall. That just seems to be the way it is. At the very least, they should have either the L-03. D-03, L-05 or D-05 to get an impression on the tone and workmanship. They also ship with cleartone strings after dropping Elixirs and I don't know what kind of shelf life they have.

Hope that helps! :)

EDIT: Kwak posted the same link at the same time.

My local shop is listed as a Larri dealer, but they never have anything in stock. Nada. Zip. Squat. Psht. So you may want to call first.

Hey Toledo inhabitant-

Just a short one hour drive north of Toledo in Ann Arbor is a fine guitar shop called Herb David, still owned & operated by the original owner, Herb, himself. He just took on the Larrivee line recently and has an L-03 as we speak. (OK, as I type)

I always figured us Ohioans weren't permitted in Ann Arbor other than alternating years in late November. I guess where guitars are involved invasions are permitted...

I used to live in Ohio. There was this bumper sticker that was often seen in those days, especially around Columbus. "DIRECTIONS TO ANN ARBOR: NORTH UNTIL YOU SMELL IT. WEST UNTIL YOU STEP IN IT"

I was never a football fan, so all this rivalry which from time-to-time gets totally out of hand has always seemed pretty silly to me (although I still think that bumper sticker was pretty funny).

anyway. come on up any time. You Ohioans are always welcome, as far as I'm concerned

Thanks Q. I grew up in Livonia, so I guess I know my way around OK. My mom just sold her place on Gross Ille, so probably won't visit that "state up North" anytime soon, but thanks anyway.
