They are a big local store with excellent prices. They're something like the 2nd largest Taylor & PRS dealers in the country, and I think they're in the top 10 for Martin (might be top 5). I have a regular sales guy there, Brian Meader, who I've bought a lot of stuff from. If I can get it for $690 and I go check it out to make sure you get a good one, are you ready to buy....?
Members guit30 Posted June 24, 2006 Author Members Posted June 24, 2006 Honestly, love the neck on my guitar in for service. The acoustic/electric is not as nice. I really was not that impressed with the last DM that I played, I'd have to check it out myselfThanks lotsJim

Members DonK Posted June 24, 2006 Members Posted June 24, 2006 Heard back from my sales guy, and he said the DM Gloss was a Musician's Friend exclusive.
Members JasmineTea Posted June 24, 2006 Members Posted June 24, 2006 I guess I should get some reading glasses. Gloss.
Members guit30 Posted June 25, 2006 Author Members Posted June 25, 2006 Ok, I played a new DM today at George's Music in Lansdale, Pa. The neck is thinner than before, almost as thin as my Alvarez. Honestly, I just was not that impressed to pay over 600 for it, the finish was all satin, really nice spruce top, Wood was very nice, I didn't think the fretwork was up to Martin quality. They wanted $800 for it, the action was real high, I asked if I bought it, would they throw in a set up, they said I would get 25% off(you gotta be kidding) For a laminate sides and back guitar with a Solid spruce top, I would pick the Taylor 110 over this for tone, I could not pick up any overtones, the Taylor resonates like crazy. This had brand new SP strings on it and with hi action should have sounded at it's top. Really don't like all satin finish guitars. They don't look good to me. I did my homeworkJimPS-if my Martin D-16GT had this neck, I would still have it
