I need a nylon string for both educational purposes and for a wedding I'm playing. I'd also like the synth capabilities, and that I could use it live without micing.

Any firsthand opinions?

I can't realy answer this question except that I do own a Godin and I like mine. However, just food for thought. I'm not a label snob, but I do frequent a vintage/used guitar shop. Used Godins are hard to move, thus have little trade value. If this doesn't bother you, go for it. Also, there's a beautiful one in my local store(not the used place) Mojo's.

I think the web site is mojosmusic.com

My buddy has a new Grand Concert SA that I just finished mucking around on a bit. Very nice unit. My only comment is that its neck is designed to be similar to a true classical; it is very wide and quite thick. I'm not a classical player by training so I noticed this difference over other Multiac guitars. I also found the action on the higher frets to be very high with no easy way to lower it due to the independent archtop-style metal bridge. Finish is very nice gloss, workmanship is up to Godin's high standards. Comes in a nice heavy duty (but soft) gig bag. My .02 worth!
