Salt and Playing

Some of you might think I've lost a couple of cards but I think I'm onto something. There are times when I play so fluidly I just can't put the guitar down while other times I wonder why I play at all. I started wondering about that. It lies in the hands. They play well or they don't and it just couldn't be, in my case, a lack of practice.

The long and short of it is diet. I like to eat those little saline-snacks - chips - corn, potato, pretzel - anything in a bag that's salty and crispy. So, I laid off of them for awhile and then came back to them as sort of an experiment. That seems to be it. I get swollen up a bit from the excess salt intake and it has a definite affect on my hands. Snack Science?

You may be a guitar fanatic if:

You'd rather sit in jail than sell your guitar to post bail.

Your wife says it's either me or the guitars, and you choose the guitars.

You eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches because you are saving up for a guitar.

You rob convenience stores to pay for the guitar you ordered last week.

Etc.

yeah, but is that a *bad* thing?
