Members Sweb Posted July 17, 2006 Members Posted July 17, 2006 Peter Yarrow originally wrote the song as a children's song. Then, someone came along and said the song was nothing more than a party song. He kinda took exception to this and came up with his interpretation of the Star Spangled Banner pointing out that any idiot, including himself, could ferret out a new meaning behind the words of any song. Moral of the story is people have no morals.
