9-string Russian Blues

There's Delta, Texas, Piedmont, Chicago, and so forth. Here's a little Russian blues on a niner, looks like the top three are doubled like a 12-string. Sounds like open-G. I know Russians use an open G tuning on the 7-string.

In Decatur, about 40 miles W of Ft. Worth, but sometimes I can lure him out and sit in for a tune or three.

 

Next time I know for sure he'll be coming out, I'll PM you...we've worked out a dozen or tunes, where I'll play mandolin, that sound pretty good!
