Members Senpai Posted August 5, 2006 Members Posted August 5, 2006 I was wondering wat r some good strings for a acoustic guitar?Im using Elixir Nanoweb Acoustic Light Strings, and everytime i slide down or up the fret board it makes screetching louds. Thx
Members babablowfish Posted August 5, 2006 Members Posted August 5, 2006 I use only Martin SP Phosphor Bronze. But really, you should buy a bunch of different types and see what works best for you. Now that that is out of the way, Welcome to the forum. Why don't you tell us a little about yourself.
Members guitarist21 Posted August 5, 2006 Members Posted August 5, 2006 I concur. Martin SPs are also my favorite for acoustics. Usually I use 11s, occasionally 12s, but like BBBFish said, try out a bunch of strings. I've got a buddy who swears by D'Addario Phosphor Bronze strings, and if you'd like to stick to a coated string such as the Elixirs you're using, the D'Addario EXPs would be worth trying also. Good luck and welcome to the forum! Ellen
Members MurderbyDeath Posted August 5, 2006 Members Posted August 5, 2006 I also use martin sps. I usually use 10s since my steel string guitar is awfully hard to play.
