Is this a good beginner guitar?

After taking care of my bills I saw that I had an extra $100,000 just laying around, so I decided to buy my first acoustic guitar

People say Martin makes the best acoustics, so I knew that was what I wanted.

I was told that the D-100 was easy to play and that it had a very comfy neck for a beginner....

It sounds really nice as far as I can tell, and I think it looks pretty nice too....though just recently it was accidently dropped by my little niece who was playing it and the headstock chipped.

Not a big deal, right? I mean, it's my first guitar

What do you guys think of it?

What is that, mother-of -pearl inlay? Lame! Mine has platinum and diamond inlays. The active pickup runs on the finest Saudi Arabian oil. The nut and saddle are made from mummified Mastadon tusk while the bridge and fingerboard were carved from an idol found in King Tut's tomb. The luthier that made it died of a mysterious curse. It's OK until I save up to buy something really nice.

That's right. See, if CFM would get their {censored} together they'd send everyone of those junky-ass Martins to Zager prior to shipping.

I think I know your style, Rada, and you're not the Martin type.

but if you must...

well, I'd throw a can of spray paint over this one. Rustoleum BBQ flat black. Take the fricken sheen offa this thang.

remember: play everything before you buy.

Look at a Steinway.

and BMW.

perhaps... a new puppy!

You'll need a Floyd Rose vibrato bridge, too...but, yeah, nothing a girl with a Black & Decker circular saw can't handle! :p

Crap, how in the world am I ever gonna refuel my OM-21 GAS now? As far as I'm concerned, the difference between MOP and MOTS could not have been more non-verbally communicated.

It takes a minute or two of counting frets to figure out if it a 12-fret or 14-fret model. :D

Seriously, navigating that board would be a pain. It reminds of a Greven guitar that was made for George Harrison where he said, "I told them not to put all this fancy inlay on it, but they did it anyway, so now I've got gaffer's tape on it so I can find me way around."

He was talking about duct tape: he had strips at the 5th, 7th and 12th frets.
