Hey everyone, I don't really hang out here that much so I don't know what's going on in the world of acoustics, but I am thinking of picking up one soon. My price range is a loose $700-$1000. I'm looking for an acoustic electric that sounds good live and I'm not really looking to get a Taylor. What do you guys think would be good? Thanks for your replies.

It'd be for a church band, so I'd be playing along with some electric guitars and drums. Maybe a single cut-away body style. Not too sure about the wood...

I'd REALLY recommend looking into a Seagull, Simon & Patrick, or a Norman with a spruce top and maple back and sides

Or you can look into a Parkwood Jumbo

Breedlove AD25/SR plus. I just got one for playing in a church band and it is wonderful. Sounds fantastic just plugged into a DI into the PA.
