Members GUITKRAZY Posted August 22, 2006 Members Posted August 22, 2006 I have an outdoor gig that I am doing solo- so I will be not only be playing, but I also have to make sure the levels on the PA are good- Since it is an outdoor gig, and I am using my Alvarez and Takamine (Back up) should I put a soundhole cover in to reduce any chance of feedback? Any additonal pointers will be gladly appreciated! Thanks!
Members S~R~O Posted August 22, 2006 Members Posted August 22, 2006 Are you Plugging in or are you Mic~ing your guitar.... There are a lot of scenario's that come to mind.....can you be more specific. !!!/???
Members Rickkkk Posted August 22, 2006 Members Posted August 22, 2006 I'm guessing you're plugging in, since you're talking about sound-hole covers. I've never had to use one of those, personally. The only-time I've ever had any feedback issues was if I tried to turn the bass on my acoustic preamp up a little too high ... We played outside Saturday night, and I played a couple of songs on acoustic (with the whole band, mind you ...). Just be mindful of your speaker (monitors/mains) placement, and you should be fine. Have fun !
Members GUITKRAZY Posted August 22, 2006 Author Members Posted August 22, 2006 Thanks Rick! Yeah, I am plugging into a p.a. I am looking forward to it, but I hate when my band is not around and have to do a solo gig- it should be a lot of fun!
