Latley I have been doing more acoustic guitar playing than I have with my Electrics- I am wondering if any other acoustic players use a pedalboard and what effects when they play? I am thinking about building one and using my Rockman Acoustic pedal, Tuner, EQ and possibly a delay- Let me know what you all use or think? :thu:

Not me ... I go straight to the PA through a DI. I like my amplified acoustic as natural as possible. Just a personal preference.

Cheers !

I use only a slight amount of reverb. Usually set to a"large room" or "medium hall" Mix at about 15% +/ - depending on how I feel. It gives it just a little depth and I really like that sound personally.

When I'm playing solo, I don't use any effects. When I'm with my band, I just use my electric pedalboard to get some occasional distortion or chorus or something. Mainly comes from a Boss D-1 Distortion, an old Phaser I found in a garage, a Roland GR-20 (great reverb, surprisingly), and a Digitech RP-200.

Solo - guitar -> Baggs PADI -> just the reverb in my PA system

Trio - guitar -> Baggs PADI -> Dano auto-wah -> Boss HM-2 -> Boss Super Phaser -> older Boss phaser -> Boss flanger -> Dano chorus -> Dano digital delay-> Boss harmonizer...try to only use each effect/group of effects once per gig, so mostly I get a fairly nice "acoustic" signal.

But some tunes do get pretty "out there"...just another set of colors from my pallete. ;)

Yeah, truthfully given the fact that I am predominantly a band/ electric performer- when I play acoustic (through a pa head) you are playing "naked" I do use the reverb on the pa head, but I really don't want to color the great sound that I have already- but a little candy I guess cant hurt!:thu:

I've been thinking about a compressor too, but they really suck the tone out of your guitar, then you add gain to get the volume back up, it can make some interesting sounds, thinking about just sticking with my preamp or switching it off to a MXR 6 band EQ, that also boosts signal
