Members JasmineTea Posted August 23, 2006 Members Posted August 23, 2006 Barcus berrys sound pretty bad. Look into something like K&K
Members Walters9515 Posted August 23, 2006 Author Members Posted August 23, 2006 i like the ones with the round black magnet looking and u just stick it on your guitars its really easy and simple with a cord on it

Not very good sound. Had one on my d28 back in the 70s. They are around, but there are new similar pickups that will sound better. Here's one. http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Pickups:_Guitar,_acoustic/Schatten_Soundboard_Transducer.html

Frets99 Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Really hated my Barcus Berry Bar!! My favorite mag soundhole pup is an inexpensive seymour duncan maverick performer. Nice warm acoustic sound. Here's a tune using it. streaming "Drinkin bout the future"
