Members ElixirofLife Posted August 28, 2006 Members Posted August 28, 2006 So I swa in another post that someone played one of these beauties. Do they souand as good as they look, I still can't find one locally, I'll have to drive like three hopurs to go find one. It will probably be nicer than my 414 eh?
Members recordingtrack1 Posted August 28, 2006 Members Posted August 28, 2006 nice sig, man. You'll just have to wait and play one. I haven't played a 414, I own a 315 and , well, yes, . . . it's nicer than that. That was really hard to admit. RT1
Members guitarist21 Posted August 29, 2006 Members Posted August 29, 2006 I would think that if you live in Bob Taylor's basement that you'd have regular access to the GS's, Elixir. I was looking at some guitars at my local Guitar Center (I live in Chicago) and they did not have them yet and didn't know when they would get them. They said a few people had asked, so they'd like to have them in the next couple weeks. Ellen

Members 59refin Posted August 29, 2006 Members Posted August 29, 2006 I played on of the cedar topped ones and was very impressed. A little less bling than normal for a Taylor but it sounded and played great. Very impressive considering the street price was about the same as a 414ce even with the ES system.
Members flyfis4fun Posted August 29, 2006 Members Posted August 29, 2006 I have a Rosewood/Spruce GS and it is an incredible guitar. I own or have owned 3 other Taylors: A 310 Koa, a 355 12 string and a 614c and the GS is nicer then anything I have ever played. The only one that comes close is my 614c but the GS still just blows it away when strummed. In my opinion, the GS series is the best guitar in the Taylor line up.
