Members guitarist21 Posted September 24, 2006 Members Posted September 24, 2006 I've not used the Roland CM-30, but my experience with Roland Amps overall has been just okay. I've found their sound to be clear and, for the most part, colorless, which is how I like my acoustic amp to be. The downside would be their durability. I used a Roland acoustic amp at church for a couple years and it did not withstand the trips our worship team took. I now use a Crate bass amp for my acoustics. I paid less, its louder, more durable, and sounds great. I highly recommend looking into bass amps. About all your numbers and questions about speaker damage: I don't usually know that stuff unless I broke something myself. You'll find a lot of really knowledgable folks here, but I for one don't know much about amps and stuff. I've never been to the amp forum, but you may want to try your question there. Good luck!

I don't know about that am, but I bought the Roland ac amp and ended up returning it for a Fishman. The Roland had a compressor on the front end of the amp and it drive me nuts. I wouldn't waste my time with or expect too much for that price.
Members percyexpat Posted September 25, 2006 Members Posted September 25, 2006 i havnt been able to try one out but i plan to buy one soon. ive seen them on display in a couple of shops amplifying a demo for some effects pedals and it sounded just fine. for the price and weight i dont think you can get much better.
Members guit30 Posted September 25, 2006 Members Posted September 25, 2006 Keyboard amps usually are fine for acoustic guitars and mini PA systems, I had a friend who had a Peavey KB amp with 3 inputs including an XLR. Jim
