Members rjoxyz Posted October 6, 2006 Members Posted October 6, 2006 I just won an eBay auction for an Alvarez AD60SC acoustic-electric to add to the stable. I looked here for a review and discovered only the Yairi models listed in the review section. What happened to the Alvarez reviews? Weird. Does anyone have any experience with this model? Opinions? Another question I have is regarding the electronics onboard the guitar. I was pleased to see the pre-amp has an aux input for an internal mic, which was a factor in purchasing the guitar. I then discovered this is a non-curent model with the older 600T system rather than the newer 600TMKII. It seems the 600T provides no phantom power for a condenser mic as does the MKII and will not work with the proprietary Alvarez mini-condenser mic. Any suggestions on how I can add an internal mic, whether condenser or dynamic? I could not find many options on the web and am not sure how a seperate power supply would be wired in. Any ideas where I can find the necessary components? Appreciate any input on these issues.
Members guit30 Posted October 9, 2006 Members Posted October 9, 2006 I am an Alvarez fan, used to have an Alvarez AD60S, I particularly am not a fan of any of their electronics, I think they are real brittle sounding, have tried 2, never tried one with a condenser mic attachedJim
