Members Ovationman Posted October 10, 2006 Members Posted October 10, 2006 I have an Ovation acoustic and im looking to pick up a few pedals, to give my sounds some more power on stage. Im thinking about getting a chours pedal and maybe a delay pedal. Are these good for starting out? Should i consider getting something else? Any help would be greatly appreated. Thanks alot
Members Stackabones Posted October 10, 2006 Members Posted October 10, 2006 Check out the Zoom A2. I've got one and it's got all the effects you could want. I bypass the acoustic models, but still use the delays, choruses, trems, etc. Also, has a cool little drum machine and a tuner! For a bit more cash, you can get the one with a volume pedal (I already have one). By the way, at rehearsal the other night a friend of mine borrowed it to run his bass through the PA (his bass amp's speaker went kaput). Sounded pretty cool. Looks like you're new around here, Ovationman. Welcome to the forums!
Members guit30 Posted October 10, 2006 Members Posted October 10, 2006 I use a Guyatone compressor that really fattens up my sound and livens it up a bit at lo levels, incredible pedal www.guyatone.com Jim PS-a guy at church uses a Boss compressor to drive a Boss Delay pedal, he really gets some nice tones(thru his Taylor 814ce)

It's an all-in-one solution that gives you pretty much everything you need for effects on an acoustic.
