Members 3kingbees Posted October 19, 2006 Members Posted October 19, 2006 the tale is: an instrument must be played to keep and improve it's sound. how long can a guitar remain unplayed in it's case . i have 3 guitars. you many guitars owners how fast switch from one to the other?
Members Whalebot Posted October 19, 2006 Members Posted October 19, 2006 I now have 4 guitars. None stays in the case longer than a week. BUT. My old classical stayed in it's case for twenty years before I rescued it. Besides a bridge that needed to be reglued it was fine. I have heard stories about guitars being kept in a case under a bed for years and then played. Just pop a soundhole humidifier in and check them once a week, that is your best bet.
