Members fretplay Posted October 23, 2006 Members Posted October 23, 2006 I saw Doyle Dyles play Friday night, great player. Can anyone help me with the tunings, I think he plays in DADGAD but not sure. He seems to play a sliding shape on the bass strings, in fact a lot of bass shapes leaving the treble strings open. Any ideas on this, web sites etc I would be most grateful for some help but I don't expect to play anything like Doyle but I'll try.
Members recordingtrack1 Posted October 24, 2006 Members Posted October 24, 2006 Try the chet board. It is really a cool place and a bunch of players who are tremendously talented. One of my good friends moderates the board, his name is Doug Hendrix. He is one of the best players I have ever heard and he has his own website as well. Try it out and you'll be impressed with his playing too. He actually knows Doyle Dykes personally as well as Paul Yandel and some others. http://hendrixmusic.com/ I think you will really like Doug's playing. RT1:)
