Members jleavesl Posted October 26, 2006 Members Posted October 26, 2006 Here's the original advertisement that Gibson sent me yesterday: Here's the Original Case: The handle broke off, but is still in the case. Here's the guitar itself: It has an insanely thick neck and was apparently made prior to Gibson implementing truss rods in their instruments (1926 was when they started). I think it even has the original tuning machines... they actually hold tune quite well.
Members jleavesl Posted October 26, 2006 Author Members Posted October 26, 2006 The back is bookmatched and hand carved (just like the front) At some point the bridge was readjusted (and it looks like it was heightened a bit too)

Members guitapick Posted October 28, 2006 Members Posted October 28, 2006 Looks very cool. How's it play/sound?
Members AK47 Posted October 29, 2006 Members Posted October 29, 2006 An older gentleman who was a friend who past away about 20 years ago owned one of these. I was able to plat it regularly. A guitar like this is full of mojo. congrats enjoy.
