Hi i was merrily googling "as you do" and came across this site. There are only two

guitars worth buying the first is a Maton and so is the second, I have a 30 year old bg 808 and through years of abuse the sound is still awesome. Tommy Emanuel is a great ambassador for them. There are so many great acoustic guitarist that it may be an idea to name one and a source

Mine is Bert Jansch and a difinitive album would be Rosemary Lane. and his version of Davy Grahams, Angie is right up there.Looking forward to other saucies!

Only ever played one Maton-a jumbo but I couldn't tell you the model. Lovely guitar, big tone and a fabulous, playable neck.

Didn't know BJ had a model-last I heard he was playing Yamahas.

Good choice Bert!

Yup Bert plays yamahas it was tommy emanual i was refering too for matons. I also have a yamy fg140 nice machine but....... I am originaly from Putney in London so was privy to the early days of Bert, Ralph, wizz and buck and a few others

The sticky out bit is that where John James hails from, nice guitarist. He and Pete Berryman made a great album based on two great American big band guitarist (forgoten the names) anyway i digress

You're from Putney? {censored}, I don't believe it! So you know the Half Moon, Bricklayers Arms, Green Man?

I lived in Putney from 1963-1983 in Earldom Road off Clarendon Drive. I don't know if you remember Sam Mitchell who sadly died recently? A great blues guitarist who I used to have pinball competitions with in the Bricklayers-our local.
