greetings all and a little help please..?

Hi all, I'm Cat from Oz,

just a beginner plunking away on my 1986 Washburn D12 6 string and a couple of Epi electrics.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me... I have a friend of a friend in Japan who has asked me to source a 2nd hand Maton EBG808TE (Tommy Emmanuel signature model)

I guess thinking that as I'm in Oz, there'll be used Matons a plenty! However, New I can do without any problems, but used are hard to find.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction, Maton don't have a distribution company in Japan, only Oz, USA, Malaysia and Europe, so I'd need to ship it to Japan from whereever I source it.

Any ideas welcome, international web stores, Prefer not to go evil bay as we all know, things can be pretty hit an miss there.

hmm... specifically i cannot help you... i don't know of any used Maton's here in the states... they're quite rare new, so used...

 

if there was anywhere to find a used one, i'd say you live there...

Re; 2nd hand Matons - It's actually the same here - not easy to come by.

I've seen a few acoustics on evil bay but sans pick up and my friend's model of desire is nowhere to be seen but new... hopefully I can talk him up a few yen and buy him a brand spanking one!

 

I'm new to the acoustic board, though I mostly play my acoustic - well when I say play - I practice - still a newb so a big hello to all the good peoples here!

I`ve seen Matons advertised in the Japanese monthly magazines so they are here, `course they`re gonna cost more too...and maybe thats why they want one from Oz.

and Matons are nowhere to be found here in Belgium, except when Tommy is playing.

 

I'd like to lay my hands on one one day, just to get a feel...

They started advertising Maton in the UK recently but as they are relatively new finding one second-hand isn't going to be easy!

Zenbu - is that new or 2nd hand? I can definitely get new here very easily and most likely quite cheaply - I contacted Maton direct and they suggested that it would be cheapest for me to buy here and ship it myself, unfortunately, My friend is quite set on saving even more with a 2nd handie - local distributors are wishing me luck too as they don't think I have a chance!

 

AndrewGG - exactly!!

there are some 2nd hand acoustics around here, but I haven't seen any of that model 2nd hand, or come to think of it any with pick ups at all.

 

Laserpuls - well the good people of Oz are always happy to do a favour for our friends around the world, but if you just want to have a feel, maybe a road trip is in order! Maton Oz have sent me a list of their international distributors, in Europe, there is one in Italy, and one in Germany and several in the UK as AndrewGG mentioned.
