Members Jessz1 Posted November 13, 2006 Members Posted November 13, 2006 He plays but hasn't had a guitar for years. He has mentioned many times he wants an acoustic to play but just can't afford it. I picked him up an OM style Alvarez for 200.00 bucks. Plays great sounds decent. I hope he likes it. If not.... my nephew will!
Members zenbu Posted November 13, 2006 Members Posted November 13, 2006 I did the same thing a few years ago...and he was so happy. Last time I went back for the holidays I brought a couple of electric guitars with me and left them there, and my nephew started playing. Just packed my nephews guitar last night for this years Christmas present. Nice idea you had, I`m sure hes gonna be thrilled.

Members Sweb Posted November 13, 2006 Members Posted November 13, 2006 Great idea and very generous. I just gave away a '73 Guild F-412 I never really played - I inherited it - and the person I gave it to was always drooling over it anyway. Now he's walking 3 feet higher than everyone else. You did a good thing. Everyone who can make music should be able to on their own time and terms.
