Members dogbone Posted November 29, 2006 Members Posted November 29, 2006 Could you give me some info on this guitar. All I know is that it was made for St. Louis Music by Alvarez. This is a picture I found on the internet. The serial number on mine is 087837. This is all I know. Anything at all would be much appreciated. Maybe you could point me in a different direction for information. Thank you.

The laser-cut rosettes are pretty cool!

I kinow someone who owns one of these...I sent him an email for any and all info he can share and I'll post it here as soon as I get it.His has a very balanced sound for a dreadnaught...nice bottom w/o it being excessively boomy, and the passive P/U (I'm assuming it came from the factory installed) sounds pretty natural plugged into my PA via my PADI...If they ever re-release this model as a jumbo, I'd be very inclined to consider buying one!
Members dogbone Posted November 30, 2006 Author Members Posted November 30, 2006 I received this email from DeeAnn at Zekes music in Arizona. It's amazing how the internet brings us all together. I sent the same info to St. Louis Music but I guess I'm to low on the food chain. Hi Phil, I checked with St. Louis Music, and here's what they said: "Model 5051 from 1982. Solid spruce top w/ mahogany laminate back & sides. List price was $359. " I hope that is what you needed, let me know if there's anything else I can help with.
