Members guitarist21 Posted December 8, 2006 Members Posted December 8, 2006 Ellen = nervous Hope it goes well! I think I'm going to take a two day fast from the forum and when I want to check it, I'll go play a bunch of scales or something. Ellen
Members Cldplytkmn Posted December 8, 2006 Members Posted December 8, 2006 yep... sounds like a good plan... if you don't check back in, hope it goes well... just go be your (guitar)self...
Members Cripes Posted December 8, 2006 Members Posted December 8, 2006 Don't bend your mind too much over it Ellen. Relax and be there for yourself. That's what the audition is all about anyway.
Members Jacktheshrubber Posted December 8, 2006 Members Posted December 8, 2006 Good luck! Major mojo and prayers to you! Youre going to do great!
Members AK47 Posted December 8, 2006 Members Posted December 8, 2006 Get in your zone and get-r-done. You'll be fine.

Members babablowfish Posted December 8, 2006 Members Posted December 8, 2006 Courage isn't the absence of fear; it is the willingness to move forward despite the fear. You have courage, so just do your best. And let us know how it goes. Good luck!
Members pipedwho Posted December 8, 2006 Members Posted December 8, 2006 Every time I see Berklee written, I keep thinking someone just made a typo, and really meant Berkley. Anyway, good luck with it all!
Members Dave W. Posted December 8, 2006 Members Posted December 8, 2006 Best of luck. Trust in yourself and your practice will pay off.
Members t60 fan Posted December 8, 2006 Members Posted December 8, 2006 Anxious to hear about your success.
Members Roy Posted December 8, 2006 Members Posted December 8, 2006 Good luck Ellen. May I ask what genre you will be studying?
Members STEELSTRINGS Posted December 8, 2006 Members Posted December 8, 2006 I bet you'll do well. Let us know how it goes.
Members Michael Martin Posted December 8, 2006 Members Posted December 8, 2006 Is this just guitar? I seem to recall that you are a multi-instrumentalist. But whatever--go get 'em! Can't wait to hear your good-news post.
Members TXTooMuch Posted December 8, 2006 Members Posted December 8, 2006 Good Luck, have fun and you should do well!
Members guitarist21 Posted December 11, 2006 Author Members Posted December 11, 2006 Well I just got back. Sight reading was abominable, improvising was just okay (which is annoying because its an area of strength for me), and the interview was just okay. The ear training exercises went well, I think. For my prepared piece, I played "Stop This Train" off the new John Mayer album. I played acoustic! *tries to make forumites proud* Then I played electric for all the other stuff. I met a really amazing six string bass player from Ohio. He was great. And kind of cute . Too bad he lives in Ohio. Ellen

I think Trina there was just trying to drum up some up of that rare HC feminine cameraderie with some of that "girlfriend" speak.

The word "girl" was a reference to you, ya ninny! Now, if Ohio is too far, go out and find a cute bass player (or drummer or keyboard dude or whatever) a little closer to home. Oh, and BTW, best of luck.

Best of luck Ellen with fingers still crossed. Trina
